This EasyPak™ container holds up to 2.5 gallons of used household* nicotine e-cigarettes and vapes. One low fee covers the collection bucket, shipping, device recycling, and nicotine pod disposal. Program-compliant vape devices are recycled, and nicotine pods are disposed of through incineration as required by law. Devices that do not meet the program acceptance criteria may not be eligible for recycling through this program. 

This container should only be used for nicotine e-cigarettes and used vape devices generated by households and individual consumers, and not for commercial inventory, manufacturing waste, recalled products, or other business-generated waste in compliance with 40 CFR § 261.4(b)(1). Customers are responsible for determining whether their waste qualifies for the HHW exemption under applicable laws. 

*Households include single and multiple residences, hotels and motels, bunkhouses, ranger stations, crew quarters, campgrounds, picnic grounds, and day-use recreation areas. If you have any questions, please reach out to TerraCycle Customer Care.

What you can recycle

Only used e-cigarettes and used nicotine vape devices should be placed in the bucket. All devices should be intact with the battery still attached, and the device cannot be disassembled or tampered with.

This container does not accept e-cigarettes or vapes that are:

  • Used for cannabis
  • New or unused
  • Confiscated 
  • Unsold, expired, or returned 
  • Off-spec
  • Disassembled or missing the battery

 

How to Purchase an EasyPak™

1. Sign Up

Take 60 seconds to create a free account. Once you’ve started a new program, your account will give you access to program details and features. If you already have an account, sign in using your existing email and password.

2. Select Container

Select the recycling container(s) you need at your facility. EasyPak™ containers are available for electronic waste, batteries, ballasts, fluorescent lamps, CFLs, aerosols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), breakroom waste and more.

3. Start Program

When you have what you need, initiate your program by clicking “Checkout”. You can pay with a credit card or apply for Purchase Order approval. One low price includes the container, shipping to the recycling center, recycling fees, and a certificate of recycling.

4. Fill EasyPak™ Containers with Waste

Keeping in mind what is listed as acceptable and not acceptable items, fill container(s) at your own pace with your electronic waste. All containers are UN-certified for safe storage and transport, have VaporShield lining in each container for your safety and come with full instructions. 

5. Schedule Pickup via FedEx

You can schedule a pick-up with FedEx by calling  1-800-463-3339.

  1. Answer the prompts as follows:
    Your tracking number can be found on the shipping label.

    • Say you want to schedule a pickup
    • Confirm you have a label, then provide the tracking number.
    • Choose ground shipping

  2. Confirm the next-day shipping date, your pickup address, and the pick-up time window.

  3. Your call will be transferred to FedEx’s customer service line, where someone will confirm the information you’ve provided and provide a case number for your pickup request

  4. Leave your package outside in a dry, clear, and visible area, like your front porch, for pickup

6. Request Certificate of Recycling

A week or two after the container has been returned to our recycling processor, you may request a Certificate of Recycling online under the "contact us" tab. Quarterly or yearly reporting is also available upon request through your TerraCycle Commercial representative.

Important Restrictions

Be sure your bucket does not exceed the total weight limit:

  • 1.25 gallon bucket: 22 lbs.
  • 2.5 gallon bucket: 25 lbs.
  • 5 gallon bucket: 55 lbs.

This solution is intended solely for the collection and waste management of used nicotine vape and e-cigarette devices and is not intended to promote the purchase or use of nicotine products.
